About us

Bring on the Bay is the annual open water swim on the Ottawa river with all proceeds donated to Easter Seals Ontario, benefiting children with physical disabilities in the Ottawa area. Last year, the event drew over 1,000 swimmers, raising $160K for Easter Seals Ontario.

What you will do

We need volunteers to assist in many areas during race kit pickup (July 9-10) and on race day (July 11), including:

• Distributing race kits
• Parking control at various locations (Nepean Sailing Club, Britannia Park, Andrew Haydon Park, Cineplex Odeon)
• Dock control
• Timing chip handout
• Timing chip removal
• Food & water distribution

What to bring

• Customer service skills, ability to work in a team, and a positive attitude

Place of work / Location

Depending on the activity / activities for which you volunteer, the location can vary:

• Race kit pickup will be at the Nepean Sailing Club.
• The event starts at Nepean Sailing Club for the 3 km swim, and at Britannia Park for the 1.5 km swim. Both swims end at Britannia Park.
• Parking for swimmers and spectators will be spread across Cineplex Odeon, Nepean Sailing Club, Andrew Haydon Park, and Britannia Park.
