Contract Opportunity: Branch Operations & Events Coordination (Part-Time)
Canadian Society of Healthcare-Systems Pharmacy – Ontario Branch Remote (Ontario-based) | Independent Contractor | Approx. 15 hours/week | $35/hour
About Us
The Canadian Society of Healthcare-Systems Pharmacy (CSHP) is the national voice of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians working in hospitals and other collaborative healthcare settings. Our Ontario Branch is led by passionate volunteers who design and deliver networking events, education sessions, awards and advocacy activities that support over 900 members across the province. To support this work, we’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented independent contractor to provide operational, administrative, and event-related support on a flexible part-time basis.

supports mission-driven organizations.
• Like creating structure behind-the-scenes—managing inboxes, event logistics, sponsor
follow-up, and scheduling with calm and clarity.
• Thrive with flexible hours and managing your own time, while delivering reliably and on
deadline.
• Are tech-comfortable: you’ve used tools like Zoom, Sharepoint, and a membership
database or CRM, ideally iMIS.
Scope of Work
Administrative & Operational Support
• Coordinate and schedule Branch Executive and committee meetings (set up Teams links,
track RSVPs, take minutes).
• Monitor the Branch email inbox and respond or triage requests.
• Maintain digital records and documentation via MS365 including Sharepoint.
• Process volunteer travel claims and manage Branch travel grant reimbursements).
• Support preparation of short monthly or quarterly updates on activities.
Event & Sponsorship Support
• Assist in the planning and coordination of Branch events (mostly virtual, with 1–2 in-person
events/year).
• Set up event registration through our membership system (iMIS) and support attendees with
troubleshooting as needed.
• Provide virtual support for online programs (e.g., Zoom or PheedLoop management).
• Support logistics like speaker follow-up, collecting bios/headshots, CEU certificates, and
evaluations.
• Liaise with sponsors to confirm benefits, logos, and fulfillment of agreed deliverables.
Communications & Systems
• Prepare and send Branch communications using Mailchimp
• Maintain the Branch webpage via Drupal CMS
• Support awards program: track nominations, prepare spreadsheets, certificates
You’ll Need:
• At least 3 years of experience in admin coordination, event support, or association/non-
profit operations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail—you enjoy creating structure and
systems that help others succeed.
• Professional communication skills.
• Comfort working independently and managing your own time.
• Based in Ontario, with the ability to attend 1–2 in-person events per year (expenses
covered).
• Familiarity with an Association Management System (ideally iMIS) and MS365.
Contract Details
• Independent contractor: As a vendor to CSHP, you will invoice monthly for consulting
services based on approved hours worked. You will be responsible for payment of all
employment taxes imposed on the payment for the performance of consulting services.
You are registered to do business and have an HST number.
• Scope: Estimated 15 hours/week, depending on the event cycle.
• Fees: Hourly rate: $35
