Time Commitment and Remuneration
Approximately 650 hours, broken down as follows:
- May 4 - May 29 (10-15 hours per week)
- June 1 - October 2 (20-25 hours per week)
- October 5 - October 30 (full-time)
- November 2 - November 20 - 25 hours of wrap up
Fee: Twenty Thousand Dollars $20,000+HST (as applicable). Box Office Manager will receive any reimbursements for travel/parking or any out of pocket expenses in alignment with FFDN’s Expense Policy. All seasonal team members will be provided with festival tickets.
About the Role: FFDN is looking for a Box Office Manager to work closely with FFDN’s, Festival Director & Co-CEO, General Manager and FFDN’s ticketing partner, TO Live. Areas of oversight will include; responding to general ticketing inquiries, liaising with TO Live’s ticketing office, distribution of comp or group tickets, supporting online content as it relates to box office, and report generation and tracking. This role will also support general marketing and outreach initiatives in order to meet sales targets. They are an integral member of the team in ensuring the smooth operation of ticket launch and subsequent sales.
Primary duties and Responsibilities:
Festival Preparations and General:
- Supports FFDN in ticketing set up for its 12th annual festival;
- Acts as the main liaison between FFDN and our festival venue partners’ box office teams (TO Live);
- Devise templates and tools to be implemented for ease of flow and reporting related to ticketing;
- Build ticket order forms as necessary;
- Support ticketmaster setup in coordination with TO Live;
- Develop ticketing FAQ and box office information for FFDN website pages;
- Review or generate text for all online ticketing pages;
- General support for marketing/admin team related to ticketing needs in preparation for launch (mid- June);
Onsale/Festival time:
- Provide exceptional customer service for patrons by answering phone calls and emails;
- Develop tracking, analysis and forecasting documentation for annual box office sales projections. Keep ticket and box office reporting files up-to-date;
- Track ticket sales data and prepare and update ticket sales reports on a regular basis;
- Report to marketing team with analysis of ticketing trends, in order to measure results from paid and organic media and other marketing initiatives; Support ticketing requests for donors and partners alongside FFDN’s Manager of Advancement;
- Facilitate complimentary ticket orders, VIP tickets and presenter groups;
- Circulate VIP ticket offers to partners/stakeholders, and support the coordination of processing comp tickets;
- Initiate and respond to group sales inquiries and provide discount codes as applicable;
- Oversee all ticketing operations, including special bookings for private and group orders, Community Groups, Press, Schools...etc.
- Provide some on-site box office support during festival dates (October 15-26, 2025), as needed;
- Respond to inquiries from FFDN team members related to ongoing box office inquiries including phone and general inbox. Respond to service requests from ticket buyers and direct as needed;
- Support any questions related to website and ticketing platforms;
- Prepare copy and content for performance reminder emails, and liaise with TO Live in regards to send emails and coordinate other patron communications;
- Coordinate with venue partners’ Front of House/Box Office teams for any will-call pick ups;
- Other reasonable ticketing duties as required
