Member of the Board of Directors

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participates in the administration of the affairs of L’Abri en Ville
• Shares and works towards the mission and philosophy of L’Abri en Ville both internally at the Board level and externally through outreach to one’s circle of influence and the community at large
• Joins one or more Board committees that work independently and report back to the Board

Skills & Qualifications

• Being a Volunteer at a L’Abri apartment is an asset, but is not necessary

Term: 2 years (renewable)

Time Commitment

• Monthly Board meetings and AGM
• Membership on one or more Board committees
• Approx. 4 hours per month

Accountable: To the Board of Directors

Needs

Currently, we have a need for board members with experience in fundraising, human resources, or legal.

All appointments are subject to approval by a majority of members at the Annual General Meeting.

• Participer à l’administration de L’Abri en ville
• Contribuer à la réalisation de la mission et de la philosophie de L’Abri en ville au sein du Conseil et dans sa sphère d’influence au sein de la communauté
• Participer aux travaux indépendants d’au moins un des comités du Conseil et présenter les rapports nécessaires

Compétences et qualifications

• Potentiel d’assumer un rôle dans un comité de direction
• Atout : faire du bénévolat pour L’Abri en ville

Durée du mandat : 2 ans (renouvelable)

Engagement de temps

• Réunions mensuelles et Assemblée générale annuelle
• Participation à au moins un comité du Conseil
• Environ 4 heures par mois

Imputabilité : Au Conseil d’administration

• Financement (levée de fonds)
• Ressources humaines
• Droit

Toute nomination est soumise au Conseil d’administration, sous réserve d’approbation par une majorité de membres lors de l’Assemblée générale annuelle.
