
Board Members
You’re invited to help shape the next chapter of Circulate.
Circulate began as a community-led vision: creating accessible spaces for rest, warmth, and connection through community hosted wood-fired sauna, thermal cycling, nature, and collective care.
As we continue to grow, we are forming a working Board of Directors and recruiting for leadership roles. We aim to be rooted in collaboration, transparency, and grassroots leadership. We’re inviting people who care about community wellbeing, accessibility, culture, and regenerative pathways to join us in guiding Circulate forward.
We are building a board that is both governing and hands-on, where members contribute their skills while helping ensure the organization remains healthy, and community-centered.
Executive Officer Roles (Core Leadership)
- Board Chair / President — facilitates meetings and helps align board work with Circulate’s mission. FILLED
- Vice Chair / Vice President — supports leadership continuity and strategic planning. OPEN
- Treasurer — supports financial stewardship, budgeting, and reporting. OPEN
- Secretary — maintains records, meeting notes, and governance documentation. OPEN
Committee & Working Roles- All areas are currently open.
- Programming & Scheduling: Plans and organizes offerings and events.
- Volunteer & Staff Coordination (onboarding, training support, and care for volunteers): Oversees onboarding volunteers, staff, interns, training and being a point of contact.
- Facility Operations & Safety: includes landscape, groundwork, gardening: Oversees the maintenance, safety, and standards,
- Community Outreach & Partnerships: Focuses on building and maintaining relationships.
- Fundraising & Development: - key project committee for 2026: Leads initiatives to secure donations, grants, and sponsorships for operations and programs.
- Marketing & Communications: Support Circulate’s public image, social media, and promotion.
- Admin, Records, Governance & Legal Compliance: Ensures Circulate complies with legal regulations, safety standards, and insurance requirements.
These roles are collaborative and evolving. We welcome people to step into areas aligned with their interests, experience, and capacity. You don’t need prior board experience; lived experience, care for community, and a willingness to learn together are deeply valued.
Time Commitment
We gather as a board once per month for approximately 1–2 hours. Additional involvement varies by role and season, generally between 3-5 hours per month total. We aim to create participation that feels sustainable and supportive rather than overwhelming.
