Board Member - Volunteer

CanAfro Research Institute advances Afrocentric, equity-driven research and public policy to strengthen the wellbeing of African and Afro-Caribbean-diasporic communities in Canada and globally. We are a federally incorporated not‑for‑profit (soliciting corporation) based in Ontario.

We are seeking volunteer board member/s to help guide our strategic direction, ensure sound governance, and support our growing research, policy work and projects.

We are looking for individuals who bring:

A commitment to racial equity, social justice, and Afrocentric scholarship

Willingness and ability to support in the areas of: governance, finance, law, research, community engagement, or nonprofit management

Time commitment: Flexible.

Term: Up to 2 years, renewable.
