Board Member, Visual Arts Mississauga

Visual Arts Mississauga at Riverwood (VAM) is seeking passionate volunteer Board Members – especially those with strong finance and accounting expertise – to help guide our organization into its next exciting chapter.

VAM is Mississauga’s premier visual arts organization, offering affordable, high-quality art programs for all ages. From our vibrant studios in Riverwood Park to schools, seniors’ centres, and online programs, our mission is to enrich the community through education, exhibition, and creative engagement.

Now, we need YOU to help strengthen our foundation.

Who We’re Looking For

We are especially seeking candidates with:

• Finance and accounting expertise (CPA or CA designation preferred)
• Treasurer or financial oversight experience, ideally in the not-for-profit sector
• Strong governance and strategic thinking skills
• Enthusiasm for building community through the arts

Other valuable assets: business leadership, legal expertise, fundraising experience, and of course, an appreciation of the arts!
