Board Member - General

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about community impact and bring experience in areas such as:
- Governance and strategic leadership
- Communications, marketing, or fundraising
- Literacy and/or adult education
- Human resources or people leadership
- Finance, legal, operations, or organizational development
- Equity, inclusion, and community development
Previous Board experience is welcome but not required.
Board Responsibilities
- Attend monthly Board meetings (with breaks in summer and December)
- Participate on at least one committee
- Contribute to strategic discussions and organizational planning
- Support strong governance and accountability practices
- Act as an ambassador for the organization and its mission
Commitment
- Volunteer position
- Approximately 5–8 volunteer hours per month
- Two year terms (+ renewal)
