Volunteer Board Position - Join the Board of Aptus Treatment Centre
Aptus Treatment Centre (Aptus) is a registered charity primarily funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS). Since 1979, Aptus specializes in supporting individuals with complex needs, including developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, medical complexities, and dual diagnosis (developmental disability and mental health issues). Aptus employs just over 200 staff and operates with an $18 million budget.

Aptus Treatment Centre provides services that include:
• Supported Living - ten supportive living homes in Toronto and York Region.
• Adult Day Services - offering life skills and programming to help promote
independence.
• Supported Learning - two schools providing supported learning for children in
partnership with the Toronto District School Board and York Region School Board. Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking individuals who bring strong business acumen, leadership, and strategic skills, with a particular focus on fundraising and marketing.
Commitment
• 8 board meetings per year (some in person/some virtual)
• Optional committee participation (additional meetings a few times per year)
• Meetings held in the early evening (6:00 – 7:30 p.m.)
