Volunteer Opportunity: Board of Directors Member

The Halton Centre for Child Care is seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors.

As a board member, you will help guide the strategic direction of the organization, support governance and accountability, and ensure best practices are in place throughout HCCC to help us continue to be a leader in the field of child care.

Role Responsibilities

Board members are responsible for:

• Setting goals and policies
• Strategic planning and evaluation
• Financial management
• Employee and community relations

Ideal Candidates

We welcome candidates with experience or interest in areas such as:

• Finance or accounting
• Legal or governance
• Human resources
• Marketing and communications
• Fundraising
• Community development
• Education or other relevant sectors

Commitment

• Volunteer position
• Term length: Two years with a maximum of three renewals

• Parents/guardians of children enrolled in the Centre
• Representatives of The Regional Municipality of Halton
• Representatives of Halton Police Services
• Representatives of the Early Childhood Education community
• Representatives of the Halton Community
• Representatives of the Community-at-large
