Board Member

Design For a New Tomorrow (DFNT) is a nonprofit organization supporting individuals who have experienced abuse in intimate adult relationships on their journey toward healthy, self-directed lives and respectful relationships.

We are seeking a Governance Board Member with a strong background in Accounting to support the organization’s growth, sustainability, and good governance.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Professional experience in accounting, finance and financial oversight
• Understanding of governance and fiduciary responsibility (nonprofit board experience an asset, not required)
• Strong ethical judgment, collaboration skills, and alignment with DFNT’s mission

Responsibilities:

• Provide governance-level oversight related to financial
• Participate in strategic decision-making and policy development
• Attend board meetings and serve on committees as needed
• Act as an ambassador for the organization

Commitment:

• Six (6) board meetings per year
• Three-year governance board term (renewable)
• Volunteer position
