Join the Board: Help Drive Awareness, Growth & Sustainability

The Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Centre (PILSC) is a registered Canadian charity that provides compassionate care and connection for individuals and families navigating pregnancy loss, infant loss, and infertility. Through peer support, professional counselling, groups, and community-based healing, we serve thousands across Canada and beyond.

With every $5,000 raised, we can provide a full year of free peer support to 50 grieving parents turning compassion into real, measurable change.

We are seeking 2-3 dynamic, well-connected board members who can drive growth through fundraising, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships. If you are a go-getter with a strong network and a passion for making a measurable impact, we want you on our team.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Fundraisers, business development professionals, or sponsor strategists who can bring creative ideas to grow support.
  • Individuals with a proven ability to open doors to corporate sponsors, philanthropists, and community leaders.
  • Community leaders with lived or allied experience in grief, healing, or mental health.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Can:

  • Champion PILSC to new audiences and partners
  • Help identify and secure sponsorships or funding opportunities
  • Contribute actively to donor and community engagement efforts
  • Bring new energy to marketing, outreach, or strategic fundraising initiatives

Commitment:

  • Monthly board meetings (virtual or in-person in Calgary)
  • 1-2 hours/month on committee or initiative work
  • One-year renewable term
  • Opportunity to participate in donor outreach, events, or strategic projects

What You'll Gain:

  • A meaningful role in shaping one of Canada's only pregnancy & infant loss-focused charities
  • Connections with a passionate, skilled, and values-aligned board and leadership team
  • A chance to make a measurable difference in how grief is supported in our communities
