Board Member
Are you passionate about protecting and promoting native plants? The North American Native Plant Society (NANPS) is looking for new Board Members to join our vibrant, volunteer-led team.
As a volunteer-run organization, NANPS depends on the commitment of its board members to help shape our direction and manage key areas of our work. These include operations, organizing plant sales, running events, overseeing communications, landing stewardship, restoration projects, and more.
Prior Board and/or non-profit experience, as well as experience in the environmental sector are considered to be assets, but are not essential. The Board meets nine times per year on a weekday evening, and board members are also expected to actively participate in committee work. Please contact info@nanps.org if you’d like more information or are interested in joining the board. Not interested, but know someone who would be a great match? Share this opportunity with them.
Board members meet monthly, via zoom and serve on at least one committee. Directors should be prepared to contribute a minimum of 6-8 hours per month, depending on specific position.
