About us

Southern Okanagan Community Inclusion Society is dedicated to fostering a community where every individual is valued and included. We work tirelessly to provide support and resources to ensure that everyone can participate fully in society, regardless of their background or abilities. The organization provides support to neurodiverse persons and those with a developmental disability. What you will do

• Participate in monthly board meetings to discuss and guide the strategic direction of the organization.
• Provide oversight and support to ensure the organization's goals are met effectively.
• Engage with community members and stakeholders to promote the society's mission.
• Contribute to fundraising efforts and community outreach initiatives.

What we are looking for

• Required: Passion for community inclusion and social justice.
• Required: Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Optional: Previous experience serving on a board or in a leadership role.
• Optional: Familiarity with nonprofit governance and operations.
