About BRCAinBC (BRCA Awareness and Education Society)

BRCAinBC is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to improving awareness, education, support and healthcare access for individuals and families impacted by hereditary cancer risk in British Columbia. We work to build community, provide accessible information, and advocate for improved pathways to genetic testing and care. Our programs include education, peer support, resource development, and collaborative initiatives with health system partners.

As we expand our reach and impact, we are seeking committed, community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors.

Why Join Our Board?

Serving on the BRCAinBC Board of Directors is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to hereditary cancer awareness and support across the province. You do not need prior board experience or personal experience with hereditary cancer to apply. We value a wide range of backgrounds, lived experiences, and skill sets.

Board membership is designed to be accessible and rewarding for volunteers who want to help shape a growing organization and strengthen the community we serve.
