Join the CSSP Board of Directors and Help Shape our Future

The Centre for Spanish Speaking Peoples (CSSP) is a non-profit, multi-service organization that has been serving the Spanish-speaking Latinx and Hispanic community in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) for 50+ years. As a cornerstone of support for generations of individuals, we provide an extensive range of services, including legal services for low-income people, funded by Legal Aid Ontario, settlement support, and integrated services for women experiencing or at risk of gender-based violence. Our outreach extends to critical areas such as sexual health education, harm reduction initiatives, food bank support, and counselling services. Looking both to our past and our future, we continue to evolve as a vital hub in the GTA by offering outreach for seniors, engaging volunteers and students, and providing comprehensive programs that reflect the unique challenges faced by the Spanish-speaking and Latinx community. As we build on our legacy, we remain committed to empowering and uplifting the Spanish-speaking and Latinx community, ensuring that our programs and services create lasting impact well into the future.

We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board member, you will provide mission-driven governance, oversee financial performance, and play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction, as well as supporting the operational teams in delivering high-quality programming that meets the evolving needs of the Spanish-speaking and Latinx community. This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise and passion for social justice to an organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting the Spanish-speaking and Latinx community.

Additional valuable skills include community development, partnership building, diversity, equity, and inclusion principles. Lived or living experience as a member of a community served by the organization is also strongly valued.
