The Board Nomination Committee of the Trout Lake Community Centre Association (TLCCA) is soliciting applications for directors from across Vancouver.

Applications close September 25, 2026.

New directors will be appointed at the November 2026 AGM.

The TLCCA acknowledges that it is situated on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation).More about unceded traditional territories

The Trout Lake Community Centre Association is seeking to diversify the Board with members who have experience with human resource management or a legal and risk management background. The Board welcomes applicants who have lived-experience that reflects the diversity of the Trout Lake community.

Director’s role:

  1. attend monthly Board of Directors’ meetings (the TLCCA recesses in August and December)
  2. prepare for each Board of Directors’ meeting by reviewing previous meeting minutes and reading reports and documents circulated in advance of meetings
  3. be qualified as per and comply with the BC Societies Act, the Association’s Constitution and Bylaws, and policies and procedures as properly adopted by the Directors

Expectations:

  • actively participate in the Board’s planning, monitoring and evaluation responsibilities
  • actively participate in the Board’s governance role of over-sight and accountability for the programs and activities of the Association
  • sit on one of the committees (Program, Parks, Finance, Arts and Social, Strategic Planning, Preschool, etc)
  • provide committee reports to the Board
  • participate in special projects as needed
  • participate in special committees as required
