Time Commitment: 4 hours per month

Accountability
The Board Treasurer is to be appointed in a manner consistent with the by-laws. The Treasurer is an Executive Officer of the organization. He/she gives regular reports to the Board on the financial state of the organization and acts as signing officer (with the Executive Director) for cheques and other documents.
Responsibility
The Treasurer of the Board is responsible for:
- Overseeing the financial functioning of the organization and providing reports to the Board.
- Manages the risk and the transparency of CACHA financial practice.
- Reviewing internal financial processes and reporting methods, and identifying and managing any financial risk to the organization.
- Speaking for the budget in partnership with the Executive Director.
- Monitoring the overall budget with the Executive Director.
- Acting as signing officer for financial transactions (cheques, transfers, etc.).
- Overseeing the annual audit process.
- Making sure all necessary insurance coverage is obtained and that financial reports, tax reports, and audits are filed.
