
Board of Directors, Network of Networks (N2)
The Network of Networks (N2), a non-profit association supporting clinical research in Canada, is calling for applications to fill three Board of Directors positions. Elections will be held at the AGM in February 2026. We are seeking dedicated, qualified, Canadian, research minded individuals who have the skills and time to actively participate on our Board of Directors.
We are looking for individuals with senior leadership experience. Previous board experience is an asset. This is an opportunity to make a difference for clinical research in Canada in guiding N2 in our priorities as a national voice and to advocate on behalf of a broad range of interest-holders that have an impact on the efficiency and quality of clinical trials conducted in Canada. Specific areas where leadership experience and knowledge are required are:
-Government Relations
-Industry sector
-Information Technology
-Legal
-Patient/participant engagement
In addition, preference will be given to candidates from equity-denied communities, Indigenous communities, patient partners, and people from diverse geographic regions.
Board of Director responsibilities include:
• Participate in development of the strategic direction for the organization;
• Monitor the organization’s performance to achieve the vision and mission of N2;
• Review and assess financial viability and sustainability of the organization and participate in the approval of the budget;
• Prepare for and attend quarterly Board meetings and participate or lead on at least one standing committee of the Board (Executive, Finance, Governance and Nominating, or Membership and Business Development),
• Participate in an annual conference and full day strategic session;
• Prepare/review necessary policy and by-law amendments; and
• Actively contribute to the functioning of the Board.
Time Commitment: Approximately 8 to 10 hours per month
