Are you interested and passionate about the arts? Looking for ways to put your networks and experience to use and contribute to the community? Want to network and meet people, apply your talents in new ways and develop skills?

Odyssey Theatre invites passionate, community-minded leaders to join our volunteer Board of Directors. Odyssey is renowned for its award-winning open-air productions in beautiful Strathcona park featuring masks, movement and stunning sets and costumes.

We are looking for creative and dynamic people to join our Board of Directors and help Ottawa’s premiere professional summer theatre achieve its exciting artistic plans. We offer a supportive, collaborative and inclusive environment and welcome people of different cultures, backgrounds and experiences as we seek to reflect the diversity of our community.

What You Will Contribute

Board members are essential in providing strategic oversight, ensuring good governance, raising funds, and building community connections. We are currently seeking individuals to provide expertise in the following key areas:

• Human Resources - Help hire senior staff, developing and undertaking an annual review, and ensuring our HR policies are up to date and implemented
• Board Secretary – Support strong governance by helping set Board agenda, meeting minutes and documents to help the Board.
• Donor Relations - Provide additional support to Odyssey’s Board to help deepen relationships and ensure satisfaction with our donors.
• Corporate Partnerships – Provide additional support to Odyssey’s Board to build partnerships in the corporate community and raise new resources for the company’s artistic programs.

Time Commitment: Approximately 6-8 hours per month, including board meetings and committee work, attending openings and fund raising events.
