
Board of Directors Member
The Board of Director is the governing body of CDRCP and is accountable to all funders and stakeholders. The Board shall have supervision and direction of the affairs of CDRCP; actively pursue CDRCP’s mission; determine its policy within the limits of the law, Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation; and
supervise disbursement of funds. The Board develops the CDRCP strategic plan in collaboration with the senior leadership team and sets direction for the organization.

Board Expectations:
Board Members are expected to support the CEO and the Senior Leadership team in propelling the organizations Strategic Plan forward. Board members are highly engaged and committed to strategic goals and objectives to ensure planning and service delivery remains responsive, agile and progressive. Provide high level oversight to be successful in achieving the organization’s mission.
Meetings:
CDRCP’s Board meets once per month on the third Monday of the month at 6 PM. The Board does not meet
in July or August. Board meetings are hybrid with some meetings in-person (with an option to join virtually)
and some virtually scheduled. In-person meetings are held at our head office in Mississauga.
Requirements :
- Background in accounting/finance or professional
- Designation (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA)
- Experience in nonprofit / charitable sector financial
- Management
- Skills in budgeting, financial reporting, audit/compliance,
- Financial controls
- Experience at a Strategic and/or Senior Leadership capacity in their areas/field of expertise
- Individual must be 18 years of age or older and not have an undischarged bankruptcy
