For over 35 years, Resources, a well-established registered Canadian charity has provided a range of services and supports to hundreds of families with children and youth with complex needs who live in Durham Region. What You’ll Be Doing

We are currently recruiting for 1 board member who believe in our mission and can help us continue to build our robust organization with strong support, awareness and partnership. Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with financial acumen and experience in areas such as:
- Financial reporting and oversight
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Audit or risk management
- Strategic financial planning
- Nonprofit finance or accounting (CPA designation is an asset but not required)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Volunteering 3–5 hours per month for a 3-year term
- Providing financial insight and guidance during Board discussions
- Supporting the organization’s annual budget, financial statements, and audit processes
- Participating in monthly Board meetings, typically held the fourth Tuesday of each month, 6:00–7:30 p.m. (no meetings in July, August, or December)
- Attending meetings in a hybrid format (in-person at our Ajax office or virtually)
- Opportunity to grow into the Secretary/Treasurer role (mandatory minimum one-year service on the Board before there is an opportunity to take on the Secretary/Treasurer role).
