The Canadian Vocational Association (CVA) is seeking a volunteer Board member with marketing expertise.

About the CVA

The CVA is a non-profit organization with a fundamental mission: to build bridges between the world of employment and the world of education and training. We work nationally and internationally with governments, employers, and training providers to enhance occupational and organizational competence.

Our core focus is delivering training, coaching, and certification in the DACUM model—a Canadian-developed, practical, and cost-effective approach for conducting occupational analyses and developing competency-based training and HR programs.

About the Role

We are looking for a volunteer Board member with experience in marketing, communications, or branding to help strengthen the visibility and reach of CVA’s mission and services. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting development of a marketing and communications strategy
• Enhancing digital presence (website, social media, email marketing)
• Advising on branding, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement
• Collaborating on outreach for training, events, and partnerships
• Fluency in French is an asset

Qualifications

• Professional experience in marketing, communications, or related areas
• Familiarity with digital tools, platforms, and strategy
• A passion for education, skills development, and global collaboration
• Willingness to contribute time and expertise in a volunteer capacity
