WHO WE ARE

NYWC was established in 1988 with a vision of a world in which all doors are open for all women. As part

people into our circle of care and peer support. Our programming is innovative, person-centred, and

responsive to the needs of the women we see.

We offer low-barrier services to support all women and gender-diverse individuals, in particular those

who are survivors of gender-based violence and abuse. We offer free, personalized One to One Peer

Support, Drop-In Services, and Group Programs that aim to meet all women where they are at with

person-centred, tailored support and assist survivors on their healing journey.

All directors must be NYWC members in good standing. We also expect that all directors will financially
