Station Gallery is a registered charity and public art gallery that has been a proud and vital member of the Whitby community for over 50 years. We are delighted and honoured to provide vibrant art exhibitions, events and educational programs to the public. We celebrate inclusivity, accessibility, collaboration and community in all that we do.

In keeping with our Cultural Inclusion Strategy, we seek to have diverse Board representation from various constituencies. This is an exceptional opportunity to make your mark on Whitby’s arts and cultural sector, and to become an integral part of a creative and passionate team with an outstanding reputation. We are…

- A bustling community hub that hums with activity. We listen, respond and contribute to our community and create an inclusive, welcoming culture that promotes discovery.

- Our visitor experience is paramount. Our goal is to foster meaningful connections between art, artists and people of all ages and abilities.

- Our mission is to unleash the power of art and culture to educate, connect and inspire our diverse communities in meaningful and compelling ways. We believe that art is for everyone.

- We are highly respected for our extensive, award winning educational programming.

- We have a growing annual operating budget of approximately $950,000, which is supported through government grants, earned revenues, foundations, and the generous support of our partners and donors.

You are…

- A results-driven individual who shares our commitment to providing meaningful, community-based arts experiences for residents of Durham Region and beyond.

- A patron of SG or willing to join; and share our vision and passion for artistic and creative communities.

- Skilled and experienced in one or more of the following areas: finance, professional art, education, law, social enterprise, fundraising, human resources, business or marketing and communications.
