BOARD OF DIRECTORS OPPORTUNITIES WITH CMHA HALTON

Community mental health is quality mental health — and as part of the nationwide CMHA family, we’re proud to bring that standard to the people of Halton, every single day.

CMHA Halton is not just delivering services — we’re redesigning what community mental health care looks like from the inside out.

We're looking for passionate Board Directors to join us.

Our Board brings lived experience alongside professional expertise — grounding every decision in real understanding and keeping us accountable to the people we serve. We're also committed to diverse representation as we embed equity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness into everything we do.

CMHA Halton requires a diverse and skilled Board of Directors to guide the organization through its next phase of strategic and community impact.

Our current Board openings span three priority skill areas:

  1. Clinical Expertise (e.g., nursing leaders, social workers, allied health, mental health specialists, public health professionals, health system administrators)
  2. Physician Leaders with Primary Care Experience (e.g., family physicians, CHC/FHT medical directors, OHT clinical leads)
  3. Strategic Marketing (e.g., communications executives, digital strategists, corporate reputation leaders)

CMHA Halton offers all board candidates a meaningful and equitable governance opportunity, including:

• Influence community mental health and addictions strategies
• Improve client access and experiences across Halton
• Contribute to system equity and integration
• Participate in thought leadership (advocacy, panels, strategic reports)
• Enhance professional reputation and governance experience

If you're ready to help shape a more responsive, connected mental health system, we need to hear from you.
