Board of Directors

Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia (BIANS) is seeking a passionate and community-minded individual to join our Board of Directors.

This volunteer position (approx. 2.5–6 hours per month) offers a 2-year term with the opportunity for renewal. As a board member, you’ll play a key role in guiding BIANS’s governance, strategy, and programs that support individuals and families affected by acquired brain injury across Nova Scotia.

We’re looking for candidates who:
✅ Have experience in non-profit governance or a strong interest in brain injury advocacy
✅ Bring skills in finance, HR, governance, fundraising, or program development (assets!)
✅ Are committed to making a meaningful impact in their community
