Army Cadet League of Canada (Ontario) -- Volunteer Board Directors Needed
The Army Cadet League of Canada (Ontario) is seeking committed volunteers to join our Board of Directors and help support more than 1,500 volunteers who support more than 6,000 army cadets across 110 Cadet Corps in Ontario
Role Overview
Directors provide governance, strategic oversight, and community advocacy to ensure the Army Cadet program continues to thrive. This is a volunteer position with a 3-year term and a commitment of 5—10 hours per month.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic guidance and governance for ACLC initiatives
- Participate in monthly board meetings and committee work
- Support fundraising, outreach, and partnership development
- Ensure financial accountability and risk management
- Represent ACLC at community and cadet-related events
- Uphold board policies, confidentiality, and conflict-of-interest standards
- Assist in recruiting future board and committee members

Who We're Looking For
Candidates with experience in finance, governance, HR, fundraising, marketing, social media, or volunteer management are especially encouraged to apply. Strong ethics, sound judgment, and effective communication skills are essential.
All board members must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check and meet eligibility requirements under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act.
