Board Director

We are currently recruiting for new Board members for the Comox Valley Children's Day Care Society on Vancouver Island and invite you to consider joining the Board. Being a Board member offers you the opportunity to:

• be involved with your children’s early education program;
• support your children’s program, their educators, and the Society’s leadership team;
• understand the opportunities/issues associated with early childhood education and advocate for continued quality child care in the Comox Valley; and
• be an integral part of an organization that has provided quality child care in the Comox Valley since 1970.

Your commitment as a Board member will include:

• demonstrating commitment to our organization’s mission, vision and values;
• devoting the necessary time to attend monthly board meetings, get involved in committee work, strategic planning and fundraising events
• devoting the necessary time to Board orientation and preparation for meetings;
• being open to represent the organization at community events; and
• Exercising leadership, team work, consensus building, sound judgment, personal integrity and objectivity.
