
Board Director
Camp Cadicasu Association of Calgary is seeking dedicated and community-minded individuals to join its Board of Directors.
For more than 90 years, Camp Cadicasu has provided transformative outdoor experiences for children and youth. Operating as both a residential summer camp and year-round outdoor education and recreation centre, Camp Cadicasu serves campers aged 7–17, school groups, and community rental organizations. With annual revenues exceeding $1 million, the organization is committed to fostering personal growth, environmental stewardship, physical literacy, and meaningful connections in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Board Directors serve a three-year term, with the opportunity for renewal through election. This volunteer leadership role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about youth development and interested in contributing their expertise to support the long-term success and sustainability of a well-established nonprofit organization.
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Expertise in any of the following areas is considered an asset:
- Governance and strategic planning
- Fundraising and donor development
- Finance and accounting
- Marketing and communications
- Human resources
- Legal and risk management
- Outdoor education and recreation
- Nonprofit leadership and community engagement
We are particularly interested in individuals who can bring:
- Connections to community organizations, partners, sponsors, and donors
- A passion for youth development, outdoor education, and inclusive programming
- A commitment to fostering a culture of trust, kindness, collaboration, and well-being
Board Member Responsibilities
- Attend regular Board meetings (quarterly)
- Participate in committee work and strategic initiatives
- Provide governance oversight and strategic direction
- Support organizational sustainability and growth
- Serve as an ambassador for Camp Cadicasu within the community
