
Board director
CPF BC & Yukon Branch is seeking committed individuals to join our Board of Directors. Our annual nominations process focuses on building a diverse Board that reflects the communities we serve across BC and the Yukon. We welcome candidates with a broad range of expertise—including leadership, human resources, governance, strategic planning, and law—to contribute to our governance-focused Board.
Who we’re looking for
● Leadership and teamwork experience
● A passion for bilingual education ● Experience in governance, non-profits, or education
● Financial, risk management, or advocacy experience
● Experience in volunteer or community engagement
● Experience supporting youth learning French
● Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset but not required. What’s the commitment?
Term: 2 years (September 2026 - September 2028); Board members can be elected to a maximum of four 2-year mandates for a total of 8 years of service
Board meetings: Approximately six meetings per year, including approximately four 2-hour virtual meetings and two multi-day in-person meetings (dates vary)
Additional meetings: Additional meetings as needed to support committee work
Time commitment: A minimum of 5 hours per month (more if travel required, attendance at events, etc.)
Travel: Some travel will be required; reasonable expenses for travel, meals, and accommodation are covered
