The OSEG Foundation is recruiting for the newly created position of Associate Director to support the expansion of our fundraising efforts and maximize community impact. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this leader will play a crucial role in the growth and development of the OSEG Foundation's fundraising strategy and operational leadership. The Associate Director will focus on building and growing philanthropic support for the Foundation by leading a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes annual gifts, major gifts, corporate donations, foundation support, and special events. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, results-driven fundraiser with a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of youth across the region.

This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary range of $93,300 to $119,000, plus bonus with 100% employer-paid benefits. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications. This is a replacement position and offers flexibility to work in a hybrid arrangement.

What you’ll do:

Fund Development

  • In partnership with the Executive Director, plan, coordinate, and monitor the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives;
  • Manage and track fundraising objectives, timelines, and critical paths to ensure program milestones are consistently met;
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive donor acquisition strategy, including prospect identification, qualification, engagement, cultivation, and solicitation;
  • Assess and enhance the current annual giving program, focusing on donor retention and growth across corporate, foundation, and individual donor segments;
  • Provide strategy and direction for signature events and community initiatives;
  • Lead and expand stewardship and recognition initiatives to strengthen donor relationships and foster long-term affinity with the foundation;
  • Build and manage a personal pipeline of mid-level and major donor prospects, including preparing and executing solicitation strategies, and fostering strong, long-term relationships with key supporters;
  • Create and implement strategies to grow and diversify philanthropic support from individuals, corporations, and foundations;
  • Design innovative strategies to grow annual fundraising revenue.

Marketing and Communications

  • Develop communication and marketing plans and activities that build awareness and promote the Foundation;
  • Develop compelling key messages, materials, and content;
  • Develop and deliver consistent impact reporting on Foundation activities;
  • Serve as a key spokesperson and ambassador for the Foundation; build effective relationships with the community including government representatives, media, and other community organizations, and businesses.

Human Resource Management

  • Lead, motivate, coach and inspire a team of direct reports to achieve their individual and collective goals;
  • Establish performance measures and goals for all direct reports, aligned with the goals of the Foundation;
  • Provide strategic guidance and advice for events, offering expertise in securing sponsorships, maximizing fundraising opportunities, and ensuring alignment with the overall fundraising strategy. Collaborate closely with the events staff to optimize event outcomes without direct managerial responsibilities.

What’s Needed:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of fundraising experience in in donor solicitation, corporate partnerships, grant writing, and special events;
  • Experience managing or supporting a comprehensive donor-centered fundraising program, including major gifts, corporate sponsorships, annual campaigns, and special events;
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and coaching fundraising teams to success;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, staff, and key stakeholders;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals, reports, and donor communications;
  • Ability to rise to new challenges and find creative solutions – resourceful and tenacious;
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, target-driven environment;
  • Passion for community impact and a commitment to supporting youth development through sport.
