Associate Director
Our client is seeking an Associate Director to support the Executive Director in managing the organization and advancing its strategic goals. This role involves working closely with the Executive Director in building partnerships, and engaging with members, government bodies, and other stakeholders to further the organization’s mission.
Location: Vancouver, BC
Work Arrangement: Fully in-office
Expected Salary Range: $80,000 – 92,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skillset
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board to shape and implement strategic plans.
- Contribute to policy development aligned with organizational goals and member needs.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support executive and board-level decisions.
- Assist in overseeing daily operations and organizational management.
- Support HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, and contractor oversight.
- Provide leadership to staff to deliver high-quality services and programs.
- Foster strong relationships with members and external partners.
- Promote the profession across British Columbia and Canada.
- Help execute the organization’s objectives and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, healthcare, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of executive management experience in a non-profit setting; experience with professional associations and healthcare professionals is preferred.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities, with advanced knowledge of business and financial management.
- Skilled in developing and evaluating business plans, budgets, reports, and organizational policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Pro, and online communication tools.
- Demonstrated experience in HR management, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining confidentiality in line with privacy legislation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; reliable, accurate, and client-focused.
- Valid driver’s license and access to transportation is an asset.
