Times: Sun-Tues 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Wed 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

PDAC 2026: The World’s Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention is the leading event for people, companies and organizations connected to mineral exploration. This annual convention is known for attracting 27,000 attendees from over 125 countries for its educational programming, networking events, outstanding business opportunities and fun. Since it began in 1932, the PDAC Convention has grown in size, stature and influence. Today, it is the event of choice for the world’s mineral industry hosting more than 1,300 exhibitors. PDAC 2026 will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South & North Buildings.

The Role

Under the guidance of the Manager, Convention Exhibits, this position will oversee the onsite execution of the Northern Lights Learning Hub (NLLH), a large theatre/lounge on the exhibit floor. Programming will include short company promotional presentations, longer sponsor presentations as well as a student-oriented Awards presentation.

What you will do

  • Ensure reserved seating is provided for presenters
  • Greet Chair and presenters as they arrive
  • Introduce presenters to the Chair
  • Contact speakers who have not arrived on time
  • Liaison between presenters and the AV technician to ensure PowerPoint files have been provided and are ready for presentation
  • Ensure NLLH programming remains on schedule
  • Maintain communication with Manager, Convention Exhibits

Qualifications

  • Experience in event planning or event coordination
  • Experience working with presenters would be an asset
  • Superior administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to learn quickly, focus on the details and follow direction
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with more than one language is an asset
