Description:&nbsp;Aquatic Assistants support BGC London lifeguards and swim instructors in delivering safe and engaging aquatic programs. Volunteers help with swim tests, lessons, and equipment setup, while promoting a positive and respectful environment for children, youth, and seniors.Location &amp; Schedule:&nbsp;<ul><li>Location:&nbsp;BGC London, 184 Horton Street</li><li>Dates:&nbsp;Sept 2025 – May 2026</li><li>Days:&nbsp;Schedule varies (weeknights and weekends)</li><li>Commitment:&nbsp;3–6 hours/week</li></ul>Duties:&nbsp;<ul><li>Assist lifeguards and instructors during swim lessons and swim tests.</li><li>Support a safe and enjoyable pool environment for children and youth.</li><li>Enforce pool rules and maintain positive public relations.</li><li>Prepare equipment for senior aquatic programs (e.g., Aqua-fit, Gentle-fit).</li><li>Help with basic poolside setup and cleanup.</li></ul>Education/Skills:<ul><li>Valid Bronze Medallion or currently registered in BGC Bronze training.</li><li>Comfortable in the water with intermediate swimming ability.</li><li>Friendly, observant, and able to follow safety protocols.</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li></ul>
