Alberta Pork Lounge – Volunteers Needed
About the Alberta Pork Lounge
The Alberta Pork Lounge is a high-energy, social space at Edmonton Craft Beer Festival and Calgary International Beerfest designed to connect with Gen Z and Millennial festival-goers. It’s where great beer meets great food — and where we spark curiosity about pork.
Our goal is to inspire people to:
- Try new and unexpected pork dishes
- Choose pork when shopping at butcher shops and grocery stores
- Feel confident cooking pork at home
Volunteers help bring this experience to life by creating a welcoming, fun, and engaging atmosphere.
Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities
Volunteers work in pairs during clearly defined shifts and help ensure the Alberta Pork Lounge runs smoothly.
- Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests into the lounge and booth area
- Creating a friendly, upbeat vibe that invites people to stop and engage
- Helping manage prize giveaways and sharing cool swag items with guests
- Handing out recipe cards and informative materials about pork
- Answering basic questions about pork and the lounge experience
- Helping keep the space clean, organized, and inviting
- Supporting Alberta Pork staff with light tasks as needed
No previous experience is required — just a positive attitude and comfort engaging with festival guests!
