Affiliate Marketing Launch Lead (Remote, Volunteer, Part-Time)

Organization: Right to Live Canada
Location: Remote
Start Date: Immediately
Position Type: Unpaid volunteer role
Time Commitment: Part-time, minimum 12 hours per week for at least three months
Meeting Requirement: Required attendance at 1–3 virtual meetings per week, with a maximum of three meetings per week

Right to Live Canada needs an experienced affiliate marketer to help us build, launch and operate a simple, mass-market affiliate program for online creators and influencers.

The model is straightforward:

1. creator shares a unique affiliate link or referral code that sends someone to a Right to Live campaign page.

2. That person completes a sponsorship or donation through the tracked link or code.

3. The creator receives 30% of the money they generated.

This is a link-based affiliate marketing system. It is separate from RTL’s direct sponsorship-sales function: the role is responsible for building and operating the affiliate infrastructure and recruiting creators who will promote RTL campaigns through tracked links and referral codes.

We want the program to be exceptionally simple and reliable for participating creators: easy to join, easy to promote and capable of supporting creators across TikTok, YouTube, RedNote, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and similar platforms at mass scale.

------ THE MISSION

Right to Live Canada exists to make continued life a practical, supported, executable option when a preferable living future exists but the systems required to reach it do not.

We were founded in response to systemic poverty-driven euthanasia among Canadians with disabilities: cases in which people pursue MAiD because housing, income, care, treatment, or other essentials required to continue living are unavailable. In those cases, death can become the executable option while a preferable living future remains structurally out of reach.

That distinction defines Right to Live. Right to Live is the only organization in Canada addressing euthanasia with a practical solution model for all Canadians - not merely opposing MAiD, documenting harms, or raising awareness, but building the service, financing, technological, and institutional infrastructure that can make continued life executable. The scale of the issue is already national: 16,499 Canadians received MAiD in 2024, equal to 5.1% of all deaths in Canada, and the number of MAiD provisions increased another 6.9% over 2023 after years of year-over-year growth. MAiD is the fourth leading cause of death in Canada. And those 16,499 deaths capture only euthanasia itself - not Canadians who die because care is inaccessible, support gaps go unresolved, or life-preserving and specialty treatments cannot be reached. We were founded in response to poverty-driven disability euthanasia, but the solution is not limited to disability: Continuity is being built for any Canadian facing a potential death where a preferable living future can still be achieved.

We call that infrastructure Continuity: the service, financial, technological, and institutional architecture required to connect a person facing potential death to a preferable living future. The model is designed to identify what would make continued life viable, assemble the intervention, solve the financing problem, and execute it. Its scope can extend from social and medical supports to frontier technologies where the body itself becomes the limiting factor.

Right to Live is building this through four core areas:

  • Continuity Service — the practical service layer: identify what is driving a person toward an avoidable death, design a preferable living future, determine how it can be financed, execute the intervention, and produce an actual outcome rather than another referral dead end.
  • Continuity Insurance — developing insurance-based financing so people can pre-fund access to Continuity interventions before a future death-risk scenario becomes an immediate financial crisis.
  • Social Brokerage — developing a way to finance people who cannot afford Continuity by turning the anonymized outcome of a life supported into a measurable impact product for global impact buyers.
  • Corporate Farming — building and incubating mission-locked organizations around the technologies, services, infrastructure, and concepts Continuity will need, then spinning them out to pursue those missions at full scale.

Right to Live is an early-stage, founder-led Canadian nonprofit built to move at startup speed on problems normally treated as separate: poverty-driven disability euthanasia, the absence of a practical service pathway to preferable living futures, the financing gaps that can make survival inaccessible, and frontier technologies that could preserve continuity when ordinary life-support pathways run out. OpenABLS is one of our most ambitious examples: a nonprofit-led, open-source Artificial Brain Life Support development project working toward a reference design that could sustain a living brain when the body can no longer support it. For the Head of Revenue, the opportunity is to build the revenue engine behind work with both immediate human impact and extraordinary long-term potential.

------ THE INITIAL CAMPAIGNS

The program will launch with two campaigns:

  • OpenABLS — an open-source Artificial Brain Life Support project.
  • RTL Continuity Service — helping Canadians considering MAiD access preferable living alternatives and the resources required to achieve them.

------ THE ROLE

The Affiliate Marketing Launch Lead will work directly with the Executive Director for a minimum of three months to build, launch, operate and begin scaling the program.

The first objective is to produce a minimum viable operational program within two weeks. After launch, the remainder of the initial three-month commitment will focus on operating the program, recruiting and activating creators, resolving problems and improving the system based on real use.

The immediate work includes:

  • Selecting and setting up the simplest reliable affiliate-management system.
  • Connecting the system to RTL’s Wix website and payment process.
  • Giving every participating creator a unique affiliate link or referral code.
  • Tracking the sponsorships and donations generated through each creator’s links or codes.
  • Calculating each creator’s 30% commission accurately.
  • Creating a fast and simple creator application, signup and onboarding process.
  • Developing the program rules, affiliate terms and operating procedures.
  • Preparing basic promotional materials for the two launch campaigns.
  • Recruiting, reviewing, onboarding and activating the first creators and influencers.
  • Testing the complete process from affiliate signup through referral, transaction attribution and commission calculation.
  • Launching the program publicly.
  • Managing, measuring and improving the program after launch.
  • Documenting the system so that RTL can continue operating and scaling it.

This is not a research, consultation or long-term planning assignment. We need someone who can build a working link-based affiliate system quickly, launch it and develop it through at least three months of active operation.

------ TIME COMMITMENT AND MEETINGS

This role requires a minimum commitment of 12 hours per week for at least three months. Twelve hours is the minimum accepted weekly commitment, not an approximate target.

The volunteer must also attend required virtual meetings. Depending on the work underway, there will be between one and three virtual meetings per week, with no more than three meetings in any week.

  • You must understand that this is a remote, unpaid volunteer opportunity with a Canadian non-profit.

  • You must possess good equipment for virtual meetings, including both video and audio, as well as a reliable computer and internet connection.

  • Ability to test the complete referral path and identify attribution or tracking failures.
  • Strong execution, organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work directly with a startup founder and make practical decisions quickly.
  • Ability to work remotely with a high degree of ownership and follow-through.
  • Immediate availability for a minimum commitment of 12 hours per week for at least three months.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Wix, Stripe, Tapfiliate, Rewardful or similar tools.
  • Experience launching an affiliate program from zero.
  • Experience creating affiliate terms, onboarding materials and operating procedures.
  • Experience scaling creator or influencer recruitment.
  • Experience with donation, sponsorship or other mission-driven conversion campaigns.
  • Experience improving a newly launched affiliate program using real performance data.

------ THE TWO-WEEK MINIMUM VIABLE OPERATIONAL PROGRAM

Within the first two weeks, our goal is to have:

  • A working creator application and signup process.
  • Unique affiliate links or referral codes for participating creators.
  • Reliable tracking from referral to completed sponsorship or donation.
  • Automatic or easily managed 30% commission calculations.
  • Basic program terms, instructions and onboarding materials.
  • Basic promotional materials for both campaigns.
  • An initial group of active creators and influencers.
  • Both campaigns launched and accepting affiliate referrals.

------ THE INITIAL THREE-MONTH RESULT

By the end of the initial three months, the program should be:

  • Running reliably as an operational link-based affiliate program.
  • Recruiting and onboarding creators continuously.
  • Generating measurable campaign traffic and completed transactions.
  • Attributing sponsorships and donations to the correct affiliates.
  • Calculating and paying commissions accurately.
