Join Our Working Advisory Board — Help Change the Future of Education

Did you know that 70% of children in low- and middle-income countries are growing up unable to read?

At Amarok Society: Start With Mothers, we believe real change happens when mothers become leaders and teachers in their own communities. For over 20 years, we’ve empowered mothers in urban slums across South Asia and Africa to teach neighbourhood children who otherwise have little or no access to education.

Each mother we train teaches everything she learns to groups of children in her community — creating a ripple effect that transforms entire neighbourhoods.

We are currently seeking a Volunteer Advisory Board Member (Graphics & Visual Content) to help strengthen our outreach and communications.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone creative and reliable who can help us produce engaging visual materials that communicate our mission effectively.

Responsibilities

✔ Create eye-catching graphics and promotional materials using Canva
✔ Support social media and outreach initiatives
✔ Help strengthen organizational strategy and communications
✔ Participate in monthly online board meetings
✔ Act as an ambassador for Start With Mothers in your community

Skills & Experience

• Experience with Canva or similar graphic design tools
• Strong visual communication skills
• Interest in education, international development, or community empowerment
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment

Time Commitment

Approximately 5–15 hours per month

This is an opportunity to gain meaningful nonprofit leadership experience while helping transform the lives of vulnerable children and families.
