Volunteer Adoption Follow-up Role

(Finally Home Cat Rescue – Richmond Hill Area)

Role Overview: We are a small, passionate cat rescue dedicated to saving and rehoming cats in the Greater Toronto Area.

We are looking for an Adoption Follow-up Volunteer to help us contact current adopters.

  • Why are you passionate about animal rescue
  • Any relevant experience (even if it’s informal)
  • Why you’d like to help speak to adopters and provide feedback to the rescue

This is a flexible, meaningful volunteer role, perfect for someone who is creative, organized, and passionate about making a positive difference for cats in need. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and is comfortable speaking over the phone.

Time Commitment • 2–4 hours per week (very flexible). Mostly remote with occasional local coordination if necessary

This Role Entails:

  • Contacting recent adopters
  • Providing cat care advice and problem-solving to the adopter
  • Checking on the cats' general well-being
  • Checking that adopters are adhering to our adoption agreement
  • Providing further follow-up as required
  • Reporting to the Adoption Team Leads

Skills Required:

  • Enjoys talking to people about cats
  • Excellent at customer relations
  • Able to respect rules for contact and engagement with the public
  • Team player

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Cat knowledge (definite plus)
  • Some basic computer skills are required
  • Good written communication skills and a warm, positive tone
  • Passion for animal rescue and helping cats
