Unpaid Volunteer Position

About this Position

  • This position works with the program manager. It provides support to the teams for scheduling, note-taking, file organization and other admin-related tasks within the program.

Responsibilities

  • Support in Data entry, outreach, events, and customer service tasks
  • Maintain and monitor shared databases and systems
  • Support teams with scheduling, emails, note taking, client and outreach support, file organization and archiving
  • Support in providing feedback to volunteers as requested
  • Assist the teams in inventory control
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve systems and workflows

Skill Development Goals

  • Develop and/or enhance customer service, teamwork, organizational and communication skills
  • Gain additional experience in administration
  • Enhance knowledge of social service environment, community and employment resources available

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Advanced computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Speaking additional languages is a big asset.

  • Vulnerable Sector Screening (instructions provided after acceptance)

Training

  • Specific training related to the position will be provided in addition to comprehensive orientation about WoodGreen services, programs, mission and vision.

Commitment:

  • 3 Month commitment
  • 10-15 hours per week during workdays
