The University of Victoria Faculty Association is looking for a part-time temporary (.75 of a full-time position) Administrative Coordinator. We are looking to fill this position between January 2026 and January 2027 with the possibility of extension.

The University of Victoria Faculty Association (UVICFA) is an academic union and the exclusive bargaining agent for approximately 900 faculty members and librarians at the University of Victoria. The Association promotes the welfare of our Members at the University of Victoria, and furthers the cause of higher education by upholding the principles of academic freedom, tenure, equity, and human rights within the University.

The Administrative Coordinator (AC) supports the work of the Association primarily in the areas of office administration, scheduling, operations, and governance to achieve the mandate of the Faculty Association.

The AC is expected to have a high level of professionalism, as responsibilities include dealing with confidential and sensitive matters, as well as networking and outreach with University staff, faculty members and librarians.

While the AC reports to the Association President, they also collaborate closely with Association staff, particularly the General Manager (GM) and the Executive Assistant (EA), as well as with the Membership Services Officers (MSOs), and with the elected Officers of the Association.

This successful candidate will be expected to work primarily from the UVICFA office on the UVic campus, although with approval of the Association President, it is possible to work up to two days a week remotely.

This position is unionized under the BC Union Workers Union (BCUWU).

Salary range: $46,000 - $52,000 after adjusting for .75 full-time equivalent, dependent on qualification and experience. The Association also provides a competitive benefits package.

We will be holding interviews for this position for selected candidates on the morning of December 16th, 2025

The preferred start date is early to mid-January, 2025.
