Position Overview

The Period Purse is seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Administrative Coordinator to support our growing team and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, comfortable managing inboxes and public inquiries, adept at using project management tools, good with numbers, and exceptionally proficient with Google Suite. This role requires someone who is proactive, resourceful, and able to take initiative with minimal direction. The Administrative Coordinator will also assist with basic finance tasks and may be assigned special projects outside traditional administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support scheduling, meeting coordination, board and team logistics, and general administrative tasks.
  • Use project management software to track workflows, deadlines, and cross-team projects.
  • Maintain organized digital filing systems and shared drives, ensuring documents, reports, and resources are updated and accessible.
  • Review receipts, invoices, and expense documentation for accuracy and alignment with contracts or budgets, and prepare financial materials for approval and processing.
  • Data entry, tracking, reporting, and maintaining operational records.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to improve processes, proactively addressing issues before they escalate.
  • Support special projects as assigned, which may include outreach, communications support, event coordination, or operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of administrative, operations, or coordination experience (nonprofit experience preferred but not required).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders in a warm, professional manner.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar, etc.) is a must.
  • Demonstrated confidence with inbox management, project management software, and digital tools.
  • Basic financial skills, including reviewing receipts/invoices and preparing documentation for approval.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, troubleshoot, and make informed decisions.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, evolving environment where new needs arise quickly.

Attributes We Value

  • A commitment to menstrual equity and social justice
  • A solutions-focused, problem-solving mindset
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • Adaptability and calmness under pressure
  • A collaborative, team-first approach
