Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Administrative Assistant to support the organization’s day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit administration, operations, and coordination while contributing to a mission-driven team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient internal processes, supporting communication, and assisting with coordination across projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the organization
  • Maintain and organize digital documents, records, and shared systems
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, calendar coordination, and follow-ups
  • Prepare meeting agendas, notes, and track action items
  • Support internal and external communications, including email correspondence
  • Assist with volunteer coordination and onboarding administrative tasks
  • Support planning and logistics for programs, events, and initiatives
  • Track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables across projects

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in administrative, coordination, or customer service roles
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar) or Microsoft Office
  • Experience or interest in nonprofit work, education, or youth programming

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 4–6 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule, with occasional availability for meetings
