Unpaid Volunteer Position

Position Title: Administrative and Data Entry Volunteer
Weekly Hours: At least 20 hours per week
Shift: Mornings – Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: The Career Foundation, Scarborough Hub, located at 2437 Kingston Road
Reports to: Area Manager, Employment and Placement Services

Background Check:

An offer of employment for this opportunity will be contingent on the incumbent providing an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors and clients at the front desk
  • Provide guidance in the resource area (computers, brochures, etc.)
  • Assist clients with printing, photocopying, and basic computer use
  • Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Support staff with general administrative tasks as needed
  • Help maintain a clean and organized reception and resource area

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, printing)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous administrative or customer service experience is an asset
