Location: Calgary, AB (onsite/hybrid)

Annual Salary Range: $68,000–$75,000 (commensurate with experience)

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager who combines technical excellence with heart, someone who values accuracy, integrity, and collaboration, and wants their skills to serve a purpose that truly matters. ________________________________________________________________________________What You’ll Do

As our Accounting Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping Wycliffe Canada financially strong and mission-ready. You’ll lead our accounting operations, ensure compliance with Canadian nonprofit standards, and provide leadership with accurate, timely insights to guide decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with ASNPO
  • Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with CRA and funder requirements
  • Coordinate periodic internal audits
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with program and department leaders
  • Track and report on restricted/unrestricted funds, grants, and donation
  • Ensure timely filing of T3010 and other required regulatory documents
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff or bookkeepers
  • Provide financial analysis and insights for grant proposals and program evaluations
  • Stay current with nonprofit financial regulations and best practices in Canada

Qualifications

  • CPA designation (or active pursuit) strongly preferred
  • Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience
  • Nonprofit or charity experience an asset - strong knowledge of fund accounting, ASNPO, and CRA requirements
  • Skilled in accounting software (Navision experience a plus) and Excel
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
