The Opportunity
We are looking for a Manager, Account Development to join our dynamic, passionate team of professional fundraisers. This role is a great fit for a confident, relationship-driven fundraiser who enjoys connecting with people, building meaningful donor relationships and inspiring philanthropic support in a mission-driven, non-profit environment.
Reporting to the Director, Development, the Manager, Account Development plays a key role in advancing the TFSS mission by generating revenue through strategic fundraising initiatives, and direct donor engagement. This role contributes to revenue growth and the long-term sustainability of TFSS.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and executing fundraising strategies from planning through delivery.
- Managing a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
- Driving fundraising revenue by identifying, developing and securing new donors and fundraising opportunities.
- Developing and delivering engaging presentations, compelling proposals and impact reports, assisted by TFSS’ Communications team to maintain brand integrity.
- Conducting site visits with donors across the GTA.
- Ensuring donor recognition, stewardship, and reporting requirements are met.
- Maintaining current Knowledge of evolving fundraising trends, best practices, and strategies.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
This role will be based in our downtown office at 30 St. Patrick Street Toronto (eligible to participate in the hybrid work program)
Please note: While TFSS currently offers a hybrid working environment, this position requires site visits with donors and partners across the GTA.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities while also demonstrating strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively between cross-functional teams.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the confidence to engage donors, sponsors, and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, persuade, and secure funding, particularly in a non-profit setting.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge NXT is a strong asset.
Education and Requirements:
- University degree or college diploma in fundraising, communications, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years direct experience working in a fundraising/development environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
