LEGAL COUNSEL The Human Rights Legal Support Centre (HRLSC) provides a broad range of free legal assistance to individuals throughout Ontario who have experienced discrimination contrary to Ontario’s Human Rights Code. The HRLSC is seeking applications for a Legal Counsel position to provide legal services and representation to HRLSC clients including at mediations and hearings before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO). Qualifications include human rights expertise, knowledge and familiarity with legal issues, including discrimination, and the ability to litigate before administrative tribunals. Some travel may be required. This is a full-time, contract position until March 2028, with the potential for additional Legal Counsel job opportunities to be offered from this competition. The position will form part of an OPSEU Bargaining Unit. This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring a combination of in-person work from the HRLSC’s Toronto head office and remote work from home, each week. This arrangement may be subject to change as part of the HRLSC’s Recovery Plan process. The HRLSC provides a competitive total compensation package. Salary for this position is $74,400+.
