LEGAL COUNSEL The Human Rights Legal Support Centre (HRLSC) provides a broad range of free legal assistance to individuals throughout Ontario who have experienced discrimination contrary to Ontario’s Human Rights Code. The HRLSC is seeking applications for a Legal Counsel position to provide legal representation to HRLSC clients in early intervention services, at HRTO mediations and, as may be assigned by the Manager, Early Intervention & Mediation Services (EIMS), HRTO hearings, including preliminary and pre-merit hearings, jurisdictional and other early dismissal hearings, contravention of settlement hearings, and merit hearings. This is a full-time, contract position until March 2028. This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring a combination of in-person work from the HRLSC’s Toronto head office and remote work from home, each week. This arrangement may be subject to change as part of the HRLSC’s Recovery Plan process. The HRLSC provides a competitive total compensation package. Salary for this position is $74,400+.
