
2025 Teacher's Assistant / Helper Volunteer
- Support classroom instruction by assisting the lead teacher with lessons, group activities, and hands-on learning.
- Provide individual or small group support to students who need extra help with reading, writing, math, or other subjects.
- Supervise students during class, transitions, recess, and outings, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
- Prepare and organize learning materials such as worksheets, art supplies, and activity stations.
- Assist with classroom management by reinforcing rules, encouraging positive behavior, and helping resolve minor conflicts.
- Help with administrative tasks such as taking attendance, recording progress, and setting up classroom displays.
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment by supporting students of diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
- Communicate with the lead teacher about student progress, challenges, or any observations that may support learning outcomes.
Who We're Looking For:
- Minimum age: 12
- Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills and softwares
- Complete training prior to start date
- Can commit to the shift schedule
Bonus Skills:
- Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English
- Previous volunteer experience
