
2025 Director of Recreation Volunteer
• Develop and oversee recreation programs:
• Plan, design, and implement a diverse range of recreational activities and services that meet community needs and interests.
• Manage staff and resources:
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate recreation staff, volunteers, and contractors to ensure effective program delivery.
• Budget and financial oversight:
• Prepare, monitor, and manage budgets for recreation programs, facilities, and events to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Facility management:
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and scheduling of recreational facilities to provide safe and accessible environments.
• Community engagement and partnership building:
• Collaborate with community groups, local government, and other stakeholders to enhance recreation opportunities and support.
• Policy development and compliance:
• Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Program evaluation and improvement:
• Monitor program performance through data collection, participant feedback, and trend analysis to guide continuous improvement.
• Promote recreation services:
• Lead marketing, outreach, and advocacy efforts to increase participation and raise awareness of recreational offerings.
Who We're Looking For:
- Minimum age: 12
- Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills and softwares
- Complete training prior to start date
- Can commit to the shift schedule
Bonus Skills:
- Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English
- Previous volunteer experience
